I am on day 5 of Seachem Excel and am happy with the results thus far. EZ Carbon is the same and I'll be switching to it for the ease of use and price. Jeff Posted December 18, 2020 Share Posted December 18, 2020 IMO, if you're using chemicals to help with algae, you're adding more fuel to the fire. Algae control can be accomplished naturally. Tell us more about your tank. How new/old are your lights? How long are they on? Timer? Do you have a clean up crew of any sort?
