Can’t top a Cory recommendation! We use sponge filters on our 55 gal. One thing we did was to run additional air bubbles up from the middle to add more aeration and flow. Our 40 gal breeder developed a sort of “dead spot” with inadequate flow, so don’t be afraid of adding extra air!
