Sandy
I have 2 5 1/2 gallon Betta tanks. I'm wanting to order sponge filters. Does anyone know the height of the small one. I don't think nano will be good enough because it's pretty small. I need some advice from someone who is using them. Thank you
Dawn Dare
Hello Sandy. On my five gallon nano tank I have a small HOB and ordered from Aquarium Co Op. I added the small pre filter sponge to the intake it fits perfect. Also in that same tank run a small sponge filter With a Ziss air stone And nano USB air pump in the other corner works very well together
Sandy
Great thank you Dawn! I do that with my bigger tanks as well. But these tanks are for Bettas so I don't want to use the HOB. They will have to much flow. I'll do the small sponge filter though. Again thank you

Streetwise
The Small Co-Op Sponge Filter is shorter, and wider than the Nano Sponge Filter. I use the Small ones in my 2.5 gallon tanks, the Nano units in my 3.5 - 7.5 gallon tanks, two Nanos in 15 - 20 gallon tanks, and Medium in tubs.

Thankfully we have the forum now & can ask each other. 😊
