Yep, Dwarf Water Lettuce is a no no in Florida. It’s suuuper invasive

What isn't super invasive in Florida? It seems like every week I lean about some new exotic pet that was released there are started a wild population

Capybaras, pythons, plecos, the list is endless!

I've heard there are thriving feral populations of oscars in Florida, though I don't remember where I heard that.

I didn’t realize capybara were a fish? I’m pretty sure it’s a rodent, but I could be wrong.

I did a search for "capybara fish" and learned that the Vatican declared capybara (and beavers, apparently) as fish for purposes of Lent!

Loads of stuff considered potentially invasive (for instance all floaters) here in Texas, not quite as many are actually illegal to keep or to buy/sell, but enough you have to pay attention when buying.  If you want something bad enough, you can get it, but the ones that are banned are banned for very good reason so why push it?  We aren’t like some states that are more tightly regulated (Texans are, in general, against excess laws), but there are some plants, fish, snails, inverts that are invasive enough to have been made illegal.
