redfish
Breeding is something that would be fun but I'm trying to figure out what to do with everything if they survive.

So unfortunately no fresh water moving through. A 3g tub with a seasoned filter is all you need. Dust some fry food in add a green bean and a nano banquet block or wondershell or cuttle bone piece. They will be fine. I would not vac before you go. Gives them mulm to nom. 1

This is the set up I have for this so far. I have some crushed coral in with them as well.

If it is a seasoned filter they will be fine. If not squeeze out a sponge or media from other filters in to yuck it up with beneficial bacteria. Snails are still susceptible to poor water but not nearly as much as fish.

Chick-In-Of-TheSea
Yeah the nano banquet blocks are good; they are slow release, so that is a good option for you. I have something similar for quarantine but I don't even have a light on it. Yours is cooler. I wouldn't recommend transporting snails by the way - the changes in temperature are going to be a problem, plus filtration, air, all that. It's less risky to let them stay at home and just prep the best you can. They are still small so I wouldn't worry too much about bioload from them, just the food quantity. I too would recommend the green beans, fresh, boiled. They don't really affect water quality. Open up the greenbeans at the seam and take the seeds out. And the banquet block as mentioned earlier, for a time-release food. Edited August 5, 2022 by Chick-In-Of-TheSea
TheSwissAquarist
@Alec , take the average wholesaler price of mystery snails, multiply it by 200 or 300 and you’ll have what you’ll get if you sell them to some LFS. 😉 On 8/5/2022 at 5:10 PM, Alec said: This is the set up I have for this so far.
