Fish Folk Posted July 16 Author Share Posted July 16 After a few months letting my little guys mess around with outdoor tubs, I have reclaimed them for grow outs. Rainbow Shiner spawning has been prolific the last few months. Here are several shots of my F0 and F1 Alabama brooders _normal_ colors… And here’s a short video of them spawning recently (they fire up chrome / pink)… I have hundreds now that I am breeding for a client. Unfortunately, my grow-out space has been limited indoors. So… I have worked to adjust the outdoor tubs in the shade, pumping cool air up from my basement using hundreds of feet of the amazing ACO airline. It really works! Outdoor temperatures were 98°-100° F today, but tub stays 82°-F max. Over night, it dips to 70°-F.
