Water change temperature

I always do water changes just using the cold side of the faucet. I live in south Louisiana so cold isn’t something we usually think about. It’s been pretty cold the past couple of weeks (for us anyway 🤣). After my water change I checked the temp and the tank was at 69. The tank is set for 78 degrees. The temp slowly came up the next hour or so until it returned to normal.

Is this ok or should I  be using hot water also?

Thanks!

I microwave a container of water for small changes or use a 5 gallon stock pot for large and boil to mix with the cold (PA my tap was 44 degrees we think about cold 🤣) to get close and premix. Sometimes I do a cooler water change on catfish tanks but not guppy tanks. An 11 degree quick swing like that might be a bit much for warm water fish. I’m not an expert though I just avoid fish stress at all costs.
