If you look at the first picture I posted it looks like they both have the purple coloration. Both males? But they sleep in the same coconut hut? I would’ve thought they’d be aggressive toward each other?? Maybe not since there’s no females in there??

I was starting to think that too. One of their tails was seemed to be a male at first. Sleeper male maybe?? This is the one that looked male to me a couple months ago. Picture taken in May.

Thanks! They are around 6 - 8 months old. They sleep in the same coconut cave every night which made me think one male and one female 🤷🏻♂️ this is one of them. I don’t have other pictures of the other one right now. I’ll take one in a bit.

Do we have any Apistogramma gurus in here? I bought these as an “attempted pair.” I used to be able to tell the difference between the two. Now they both look the same to me. Do I have a pair? Also, I don’t know why it uploaded sideways, and I don’t know how to fix it 🤣

That’s a great idea! A friend of mine is a cabinet maker. I could build the stand and get him to trim it out and make it look good.

That all sounds great! I have some goldfish outside, and I thought of bringing them inside. I’m not really sure of my dream big fish. I never thought I’d have a tank this big lol I could see a million guppies in there by next year 🤣🤣 I would love a ton of neons on there!

I thought about building my own stand. I’m sure I could build the stand, I’m just worried about the trim, doors etc. It will be my main display tank in the living room and I’d like for it to look good. I’d like to be able to hide stuff behind doors too. Do you have any links on where to start building a stand?

Your post just reminded me that I forgot to turn one of mine back on yesterday! I do always run an extra sponge filter in all of my tanks though so should be ok.

I was just gifted a 210 gallon tank from a family member! I’ve always wanted a big tank. It does not come with a stand. I also have no idea how to stock it!! 1. I don’t think local stores carry a stand that size. Does anyone recommend an online retailer for a stand? 2. My tap water is: 7.2 ph, 230 TDS. What fish would be a good choice for this water and tank size?? Thanks!!

Does anyone think it would work if I put some Pygmy cories in my endler tank? I have them in a community tank right now. I’d like to get the cories to breed if possible. I don’t have an extra tank at the moment.

No, we’re on city water. It usually cools down when I run it for a while. It didn’t last week lol
