Chiclid addict
So I wanted some smaller fish to go with my discus but the only problem is that all the fish I want can fit in a rope fish’s mouth if something can possibly fit in there mouth the will eat it so I need something that’s small like a tetra but won’t fit in a rope fish’s mouth
Patrick_G
Rams are the only thing I can think of that would definitely work, but maybe full grown Rummy Nose Tetras?

Are all rams the same I’ve never kept them before but I’ve always wanted blue rams
Patrick_G
I think all the variations of Mikrogeophagus ramirezi will be happy in Discus temps. So I think that means German Blues, Goldens etc. This forum has some serious Ram breeders so someone will be able to correct me if I’m wrong.

This I've got to see! Please upload photos and / or videos. I agree with @Patrick_G that Rams are a fine tank-mate for discus. Watch the first 2 mins of this video to see the Gold-Blue Opal Rams we bred with our discus. We've since sold all of these Rams, but I'm currently working on a summer project breeding normal GBRs again. If you're interested, you can follow that journal-thread here.
