I would try turning the light out for a few days as this can put the algae on its heels and give the algae eaters a chance to catch up. I hope this helped! Good luck!

[Aggressive tank cleaners]

Well really you should be the one cleaning the aquarium. You shouldn’t keep fish as cleaner fish but as pets. This said, I would suggest trying a pleco, but make sure that you have a backup plan if there is any aggression. If that doesn’t work you will probably have to stick to cleaning the aquarium yourself. I hope this helped! Good luck!

I would suggest that you put in some crypts. They do well in low light as @Cory demonstrated by turning all the lights off on the 800 about a month ago in a video. I have some in my 55 that has a stingray on it and they thrive!

I use the ones Walmart sells for my 10 gallons. They are black so they blend in with the background and they are pretty small. I have had 2 different ones for over 3 years and they work well. The only problem is that it has a pre set temperature.

I agree with @MACIt can take a while for fish to get acclimated to its new environment.  After a few more days they should start to be less skiddish.
