Thanks very much for your input. So you’re saying there’s no reason I shouldn’t beable to take them and just put in a bigger pot then drop them down in my pond?

Hello everybody so my question today is this! When we order aquarium plants from Cory or anyone else for that matter. They usually come in those little pots with the holes my question is can they be transferred to say a bigger pot there for allowing it to keep growing bigger and healthy. Now why do I even care well I’d like to add some in my pond at least until closer to winter if it’s possible I have put pond plants in tanks but now I want to try the other way also I’m not wanting substrate in my pond hence the reason for pots

I have had little success from what I have seen you just put roots in water and keep most of potato out of water

Hello I figured I’d create a thread for this cause I know a lot of people try to do it have done it want to do it and I figured if anybody has successfully done the sweet potato in your tank then maybe you could comment below your steps in process

I have had luck keeping Cory’s and cherry barbs with bettas just a suggestion

Hello welcome to this amazing hobby. You can infact do a sorority given you have a big enough tank. You said you have goldfish and bettas? Just know that one is cold water and the other is tropical the goldfish need a 75 gal at least at fully size and I personally think bettas deserve a 5 gallon per fish but you could do the 3 gal I would truly get a 10gal put your divider and call it a day . P.s a lot of people think otherwise but bettas deserve a heater and filter in there tank ❤️🐟

This was an amazing read my friend so interesting. It’s crazy the advice that was given back in those days! But im glad there was even a hobby because we wouldn’t be where we are in the hobby now days. I have five head first into research looking up videos and such joint groups on fb everything. I met a guy that has a new old stock complete kit from the 70’s it’s mind blowing. Well thanks for this knowledge I plan to restore my to a mirror finish and get it running. Not sure what fish to keep in them or how I should scape it but we will see and it will be fun doing it!

I’m in north east Indiana too where abouts you from I’m in connersville. I have collected here wild plants and drift woods etc you can keep fish as long as it’s within fishing regulations. Or not endangered. You just got to have fishing license. My favorite plant I come across is bacomba!

I just scored these metal frame 30 gallon tanks from an auction not sure of brand haven’t detailed looked yet my guess is 65-70’s cause it has glass bottoms not slate curious if anyone has this very tank in here! Knows any history on them etc thanks in advance

So hear I am doing my normal nightly routine and I notice my mix cichlids tank is acting funny 😁 as in fish hanging at bottom and to one side so I inspect it to see what's going on and what fo I see but idk 100 baby jewl cichlids

Hello everybody not sure if you herd about the new law there trying to pass in 2023. Limiting what fish we can keep and not keep it could be the end of the hobby how we know it HR-4521 is the law and its up to us to reach out and petition our senate and governors was wondering if @Cory would give us some thoughts!

Curious to corys answer but askong as there is 3ft of water and a pump or form of water agitation your pond should not freeze however without heavy duty heaters your limited on what fish you can keep in those Temps 🤷‍♂️
