  1. I did some testing about 10 years ago now, and found it very beneficial to run about 1 teaspoon of marine salt per 20 gallons of water when doing 50% water changes. I never finished my testing to figure out a formula that would work well for lots of different types of water parameters and such, but you might use that as a starting point.

  2. Hi Gerald,

Now that clout is off the market, we use Dimilin to treat anchor worm. I find it on ebay. It comes in super concentrated bottles there where like 1 ml treats 500 gallons and is a pain to work with. However we have found dimilin to be effective at treating it. Perhaps you can find something less powerful in dosage.

  3. Hello Everyone,

Unfortunately I am locking down this thread because it discusses things that are outlined in the guidelines that we don't discuss on this forum. That would be competing companies both positively or negatively. I don't like having to be a cop, however running a forum in where talking about our competitors either positively or negatively is bad for business. We are here to discuss most aspects of the hobby with the limitation it can be a negative to our business if we are investing resources to provide this resource to everyone.

    Thank you

  4. A fun idea, however we won't want to open ourselves up to the liabilities that go with it. It also goes against our bottom line. There is always drama, of X, had Y algae or pest, or disease. It also takes away from the primary goal of this forum and that's discussing topics. It'll also bring people in who just want to abuse the plant swap. Even on a local level I couldn't get people to not try and milk the system....

Snow tires, real snows tires and not "all seasons". Snows tires are made of softer rubber that stays flexible below freezing unlike other tires, resulting in increased grip. The difference is real. I never thought it could make such a big difference. Definitely a big improvement in stopping and getting going again.

I've ran Bridgestone Blizzaks on a Ford Focus and on my F150 now. If your car is front wheel drive I'd recommend getting all four snow tires that way the rear tires will grab too. I like ordering them on basic steel wheels so you can swap them out yourself.
