Sallierebecca
I can’t figure out what my fish has and am desperate to help him get better. He has various sized white raised and ulcerated areas. Most appear to be in between scales. He is eating normally and is active. He occasionally flashes. He first developed symptoms in his tank but has been in a hospital tank for close to three weeks now. I was thinking that it is epistylis but it didn’t improve with antibiotics ( kanaplex) or salt dips/baths. I have also tried a course of methylene blue with no change. He is currently in medium strength salt water and has been for close to a week. I don’t want to hurt him by continuing random treatments but I also don’t know what to do next for him. But I'm not sure . . . have you tried Ich-X yet?

Yes I have tried as per the quarantine trio instructions. It doesn’t fit the description or behavior of ick though. I can try doing a full course of ich x too although it should have responded at least a little to the salt and or the methylene blue from what I have read 🤷🏻♀️. We did the quarantine trio meds a week or two after I got him and again when the symptoms started. But I followed the co-op instructions where you dose all three one time and let the meds sit for a week.

He is incredibly difficult to photograph. Lymphocystitis was mentioned on one of my betta Facebook pages almost 2weeks ago. I’ve been watching and waiting for the areas in question to develop into the telltale growths but none have. The bigger white patches on his ventral fins/body have remained flatter and look more ulcerated to me. He is a giant pain in my butt so far ☹️
