Connor Elliott
Just wondering if pothos can be fully submerged and what causes plants to melt and rot including the roots?
Mengo
No, I don't think the whole plant should be submerged, only the roots can or the plant will just rot away. And if i'm not mistaken, if your fish bite or chew the plant it may be toxic for them. Although i wouldn't worry about that since their roots are pretty strong. Just rmb to let the plant heal if you decide to cut it before putting it in the tank. Hope this helped:)
Daedalus
It can be trained to survive completely submerged. My mom gave me some of her cuttings and I've kept them underwater for over a year. Sometimes a leaf will turn yellow and die but the plant keeps going. She's been propagating this plant for a long time
Aquatictimes
I have Pothos in my Goldfish tank but i always make sure to let the roots heal before putting them in. I also suggest an empty hang on back filter or breeder box where water can pass through to help keep the roots safe and out of nibbling water pigs mouths. Hope this helps.
