AnimalNerd98
I saw this interesting plant floating around in a tank at my LFS. I asked them what it was and they thought it was Java Moss, but I highly doubt that since I have Java moss at home and it does not look like this. I was thinking it is a type of Fissidens moss. Could I get some help IDing this plant? Edited February 27, 2021 by AnimalNerd98
Brandy
That does look like a close up of healthy java moss--but it is hard to tell what scale that is. This is from a grow out tank:

Could I get some help IDing this plant? Was it really floating at the water surface, or just drifting around in the current? I have Java moss in several tanks, and it doesn't float. It sits in a corner at the bottom of the tank and behaves itself. Does it float for other people?

It was floating in the tank, it didn’t have much current.

Mine mostly sinks too, except if I just did a water change or something.
Jungle Fan
Looks like Fontinalis antipyretica a.k.a. willow moss, a.k.a. common water moss, or a.k.a. greater water moss to me. Edited February 27, 2021 by Jungle Fan

Out of all the other suggestions, this looks the closest to it. Thanks!
