riverbox
Bought a new 33 long and I was planning a pea puffer tank with the hope of breeding them. Wondering if I could keep sewellia with the puffers. I know puffers do well with kuhli loaches and I figured sewellia would be similar. I've read reports of hobbyists keeping sewellia in low or moderate flow from HOB filters as well as sewellia lineolata coming from rivers in vietnam that range from 75-79 F (24-26 C) I will probably keep the tank temps at 77-79. Also, puffers seem to tolerate some easy flowing water naturally, at least from the videos i've seen.
Yanni
I think that they should be fine. @Cory made a care video about the sewellia and he showed how they don't need high flow. I think that the pea puffers and sewellia would do well with just a sponge filter. Try to keep lots of plants as well. If the puffers don't pick at the swellia, they'll most likely pick at each other. Overall, the fish should be just fine together. Just try to feed well and have LOTS of cover
