Expectorating_Aubergine
Anyone ever wrap a marimo ball around a chiapet? I did it to a hippo chiapet in my daughter's tank. Seems to be working out fine....
Expectorating_Aubergine
We have an elephant in there too. No marimo on it though...
Dawn T
I've never used them, but it makes sense that it could work. They're basically just baked clay, like the Hydroton used for aquaponics or hydroponics. 🙂
Alesha
@Expectorating_Aubergine I haven't ever owned a chia pet. Can you believe it? LoL!!! But I think it's a clever idea and a great experiment to try with your daughter. And for the record, I always laugh when I see your name here!!! I mean, "puking purple", I guess? It reminds me of when I was a kid and always said "Cerebral tempest" for "brain storm". It just tickled me for some reason. It's like knowing the secret password for the exclusive club! Anyway...it brings me joy! Thanks!
H.K.Luterman
That's a really cute idea. I've laid flattened out moss balls on top of rocks to make a little carpet, but never thought to use a chia pet!
