I thought my pregnant shrimp had lost her clutch weeks ago, but it turns out these two have been hiding very well, or there was a second batch. I'm so happy!!

very cool. ive been trying to get my red cherry's going, but it seems my cpd's have a taste for the eggs.

@lefty oI figured my danios had gotten mine too, but alas, two escaped their ravenousness! I'm moving them all to the 20L when that's finished (hopefully in the next few days), and will have to keep an extra eye out for any more that may have made it. This tank will be my quarantine tank and is getting new occupants ASAP, so I guess if any remain in there I can grab them later.

Congrats, i was also surprised the first time my shrimp ""hatch"". I though i had lost them too.

The baby shrimp are so small they are hard to see! And the thing I've noticed with shrimp is, it seems like it takes them a while to get going, but then it's like there's more every time you look into the tank.

Neocaridina females carry the eggs until they hatch into fully formed, but very small, shrimp.  Because of that it's doubtful that the cpd's are eating the eggs, but they'll happily eat the baby shrimp (as will almost any fish).
