Hi friends. I have a juvenile musk turtle in a 40gal with some fish that have ich. Can I dose the tank as is or do I need to move Krusty into protective custody?

@Odd Duck may know

I haven't looked into this I think the best course of action would be to the remove the turtle during treatment then do a couple of large water change and add active carbon to remove any remaining medication before reintroducing the turtle @Mahi27

You can also dry dock the turtle so any Ich parasites present on the skin will die out.  A small water bowl is provided for drinking and daily soaks in a tank or tote for feeding can be done, but the turtle is kept mostly dry during the treatment period.  This way you won’t be risking re-introducing Ich into your fish tank.
