Jeff
I recently put an Amazon Sword in my quarantine tank, in an Easy Planter. No substrate of course, in the QT. What is the life span of a rock wool? Do they ever dissapate over time? If so, where / how to get more?
GoofyGarra
I had a pot of java fern in my tank for about a year, i didnt glue it to anything it just sat as a pot. As far as i can tell rockwool is pretty stable, its possible a bit or two fell off and was filtered out, but the big majority of stuck around.
T. Payne
I have reused the pots and rock wool from plants that I have purchased, some of the rockwool I am currently using is at least 4 years old.
tolstoy21
I don't think rock wool breaks down if it's not disturbed. If it does, it's at a veeeerrrrry slow rate.
johnnyxxl
Rock wool is stable, used to be used as fireproof insulation. It's always kinda crumbly
