Amazon river aquascape

Are there any tutorials or videos available for creating an Amazon River aquascape? Also, is there a way to change my gravel without losing beneficial bacteria?

You will lose all BB on the gravel you take out but there should be enough in your filter that feeding lightly and a few extra water changes will keep the tank stable until BB repopulates new substrate.

you have in addition to the gravel, bacteria on the glass, on the plants, in/on the filter, and on any decorations you are keeping. for the 2 goldies i see, you will be fine.

Put some of the blue gravel in a mesh bag(s) and bury it in the new substrate. After a month or so, remove the blue gravel.

I would bag the gravel and use it to bulk up the background so you’d maintain the biofilter and then put sand over the top. He has many tutorials on his channel to help with setting this style tank up.

I guess it depends on what you mean by Amazon river aquascape. Are you trying to recreate a scene from the Amazon or more like something inspired by the Amazon?

How am I supposed to make depth in my tank any tips or tricks?
