PH level for Guppies and Endlers?

Recommended Posts

I recently researched both species in Seriously Fish which are known to be accurate

But they said both species need PH of 7-8

But some says they can adjust to lower PH?

Can i keep Guppies and Endlers (separate tank) in PH 6,5?

I don't have them

Its just a plan on my first aquarium

I would get a GH and KH test kit before getting any fish if you have low KH and GH I would add crushed coral to the substrate typically you need to add 1 pound of crushed coral per 10 gallons to raise your KH and you want your pH above 7 for guppies and endlers

How large is your tank? If it is on the smaller size, you maybe able to get away with adding something like a wonder shell. I also have relatively low KH and GH and add a wondershell about once a month or so. That combined with doing water changes every 2 weeks instead of every week has kept the KH and GH at a point where my endlers breed like crazy. Once you get a new generation going in the tank they seem to be pretty much bullet proof, at least for endlers. Its just keeping your initial fish happy until they breed that can be the frustrating part depending on where they came from.
