Is this curling up mean he’s going to molt?

 

I adore these little guys and hope this is all normal behavior. I’m concerned my GH is too high, but I don’t want to drastically change anything because I know they are sensitive.

They do that to clean themselves and to crack the outer shell to molt. It’s nothing to be concerned over.

Yep. Very normal. Female shrimp will do it more often before depositing eggs on their swimmerets.

Yes I have a gh of like 15 so that's usually never an issue with neo shrimp. More minerals the better imo. Soon it will finish it's molt and hopefully soon start carrying eggs for future shrimplettes.

Rivers in taiwan, origins of the neo shrimp, were around 12-13 GH when I saw water test results.  Reliability of that information is about the best I could find.  There's definitely a range! But, the biggest tip/advice is always going to be adjust slowly over time.  Don't jump a few degrees in a week, the slow climb over a few weeks is much easier on them.
