Different kind of hydra?

I tried again, but that really is the best I can do with my phone camera 😞 Most of it is gone today. I purposely fed my danio erythromicron lightly this morning, but I dont know if that is where they went. I will look into better equipment for future photos.

Kinda tough to tell from your photo, but it's definitely similar to something I had all over my glass for a while. I eventually determined after a ton of googling that they were Zoothamnium. As far as I can tell they're harmless - I wiped mine off with an algae sponge while doing a water change.

Honestly that looks like salt crystallization on the glass do they move?

 

Bryozoans and hydra will pulsate although the first photo looks nothing like either.

 

and I’m pretty sure freshwater zoothamnium max out at around 0.5mm so would not be visible to the naked eye. Some marine species can get to about 3-5mm.
