josh world
I was wondering if a betta will jump out of a rimless tank without a top because I wanted to upgrade my grandma's betta tank but I only have a 11 gallon rimless laying around and it has no top. If you have any betta experience it would be greatly appreciated.
Fonske
Yes it will. Speaking from personal experience.
Daniel
It is not super common, but they definitely will jump. On the good side since they have a labyrinth organ, you have extra time to find them before they die.

AtomCatMatt
You might be able to pick up a rimless lid for not to bad of $. unless it’s a custom shape or just cut a piece of acrylic
yannachka
i keep my betta in a rimless tank, if you add floaters to the top they kind of act like a lid and discourage jumping. i havent had any issues with jumpers in any of my topless tanks with bettas, rasboras, killifish, etc. the only one was an amano that decided to climb out.
