Does expired medication still work?

Hello everyone! I bought a box of Expel-P from a store and when I brought it home it was expired on 3/25/2022. I wanted to ask, does expired medication still work?

Expired medication loses it efficacy over time so it will become less effective it won't harm your fish it more then likely won't deal the parasites your using it for  I would take it back and get an in date pack

Alright, but the only problem is the store is pretty far from where I live. Probably means I won't be able to return it.

If you have an urgent need for it, I would still use it if that’s hard to get back to the store.  As long as it’s been stored appropriately it’s probably good well past its expiration date. Most meds are. Some are NOT, so do T take this as a blanket OK for all meds. Levamisole that has been kept out of the light should be fine.

Well, I am going to order the medication probably today. My platy doesn't look too good though. 😭

You can at least keep the expired levamisole for dipping plants for hydra.

I've heard people claim levamisole HCl has a long shelf life, maybe longer than the expiration date.

Edit: Nvm you had the option of returning it.

Well the medication arrived yesterday and it was perfectly fresh! However, the tank got cloudy. Should I be concerned?
