Guppysnail
Oh my that’s interesting. What kills algae is the shifting to such a low ph. I wonder how it does with the sparkling water co2 boost. Of course once it goes flat that is gone. Do you plan on water changing with sparkling water? Sounds very fun I’m looking forward to following along 🤗

Depending how it goes
Tanked
I guess now I will have to try adding sparkling water to my windowsill Duckweed trays. Algae grows almost as fast as the DW.
Nik_n
Any update? This would be a great way to propagate java moss without the use of tank space.
Solstice_Lacer
The jar started getting too warm in the window, so it's moved to a desk that still gets southern sun. Will keep an eye on it.
Solstice_Lacer
It got all brown and dead looking 😕 Maybe it got too warm before I saved it. Certainly no growth explosion
Guppysnail
Did you add minerals or fertilizer?
Solstice_Lacer
I squirted easy green in. I'm thinking of starting over with a jar of tank water plus easy green. See how that goes.
