MattyM
Hi all - I recently got some ember tetras - really small ones! So far the only food they can eat in one bite is frozen daphnia. I have some Xtreme krill flakes, but have to grind them up so small most of it sticks to my hand. I tried some Hikari Micro pellets, and even those are too big for them to handle in one go. It's like watching a game of Asteroids - one fish tries to eat a pellet, and they spit out 2 or 3 broken down pellets. Then these broken down pellets either get eaten by other fish, or spit out again into even smaller pellets. What are your favorites for fish with tiny mouths? Patrick_G
Live baby brine shrimp are great and the hatching process is fun. Frozen baby brine would be a good alternative. I also use Hikari first bites. It’s almost a powder.
TeeJay
The co ops easy fry and small fish food works very well for nano fish. It comes in a squirt bottle and it's a fine powder. Just be sure to hit overfeed. It only takes one tiny little puff to give them plenty to eat and it lasts for a long time for ten bucks.
Colu
You could use crushed flake or crush the hikari micro pellets before adding them to the tank
