Share your testing station!

Recommended Posts

Maybe some of us have figured out ways to make our lives easier in testing. If that’s you, share a photo of your setup! How is it more efficient?

For mine, I took a box that already had compartments and I punched holes for the test tubes. (I knocked test tubes over more than once before..) I have an irrigation syringe for accurate measuring, because tank dipping the tubes always took a few tries before I got the right amount of water.

I also have a “cop notebook” to record results and notes, and I keep the instructions there too.

This was my station. I had a flimsy plastic version until hubby built this. Now it’s a dust collector. Love me some ACO test strips.

Very nice! I use the strips for pH and hardness etc but for “the big 3” I like the drops because I like to feel like a mad scientist, bwahahahaaaa!

Oh man. That last pic made me think of this in my apartment. I feel a sudden urge to do my nails.

I don't use the liquid anymore so my testing setup is literally a towel and a flashlight and a can of strips.

I found this... will definitely buy one whenever I end up having a test setup like yours again.

That’s what the racks are. Nail polish racks. Great for food test stuff and all manner of fishy things 😁

If you mean the plastic I got it on Amazon. Hubby used that model  to build a better one. I broke 2 of the plastic ones. They are brittle and not sturdy. I am clumsy and have “helpful” cats so anything not sturdy is not me safe 🤣

I still can’t get the the two test to agree but I still use both. I posted about the co-op or api. Giving totally opposite Results. I use the liquid for some test that I have been able verify and the strips for the theist that the api doesn’t sell in the kit. I test the gh and kh, the GH is always over 300+( I have had this tested and it is very high in Mg and low in Ca. I friend bought this but I haven’t gotten it yet has anyone used it. It look expensive

Earlier this week, I got an upgrade. I'm in love with this guy's tank refiller 9000 because I have sand. It works brilliantly, so I wanted to support his small business again. The test tube holder has a lip that sits under the tubes, and there is space underneath that so that the tubes can be inverted & drained. Plus it's small enough to fit into the little box that holds my bottles and notepad, etc. Came with a free pipette - good for measuring dechlorinator for the smaller tanks.
