I've been following the photography of Indian aquarist Beta Mahatvaraj for a while. His photos are mostly of the fish and habitat found in the western ghats India, but some from kerela and the coastal areas. He goes by Meenkaran on Facebook. I highly recommend taking a look. It's amazing!

The sheer density of those aquatic plants is inspiring, as is the current. I know my fish have loved having an additional airstone--imagine how they would love all that movement!

In 2019 I traveled in area. The biodiversity in the area is amazing. Clear, cold streams in the mountain region and then the lush water world of the coastal backwaters with over a 1000 miles of canals and countless lakes. 787B74F1-6343-4454-8919-EADB9011B756.jpeg.a39c481cee7ee4f87cdcde733e5f45fa.jpeg3489D91F-313D-4CA8-8956-ED63E4193F1A.jpeg.1fdd3a66a0af22cae82a30d648121519.jpeg

Such a beautiful place that is home to so many beautiful fish!

I agree. I would love to have a tank with fish from this region. Miss Kerela (Denison barbs), Mascara Barbs, and a big schools of dwarf golden barbs would be a good start.
