Water change transfer pump, what are you using?

I use a small pond pump with a 1/2" ID line because that is what I had.  The pump is in a 5 gallon bucket.  I've seen on line, valves with barbed fittings on one end. That would make it a little nicer and potentially eliminate the hose clamp.  My purpose in building it was to eliminate the need to lift 5 gallon water jugs over my head.  Of course, this also freed me up to fill more buckets, scrape algae or whatever. You can also adjust how fast the water comes out so as to not disturb the substrate or plants.
