Canuck AquaTropix
Would letting a tank and it's filters and accessories go bone dry basically kill any bacteria and parasites? I'd rather do that than go through a bleaching process.
Candi
@Dean’s Fishroom uses dawn dish soap and hot water. Rinses and dries thoroughly, then begins again.
ange
Agreed on the Dawn. For some equipment (like nets) I find it easier to dip into a 5% bleach solution.
Alexa
I use a bleach solution if I’m dealing with something really gnarly, then rinse with a mix of water and 3-5x dose of water conditioner. However 99% of the time I just rinse with hot tap water and let air dry completely. 😛
Canuck AquaTropix
What ratio of bleach solution? I'm going to fill a bin and throw all my decorations and equipment in there. Also for how long should it soak in the solution for?
