Apistogramma Cacatuoides or Black Rams?

I'm torn between apitogrammas or black rams. They're both incerdible fish but I only have one tank. Which one is more community friendly? Which one is easier to breed and keep?

Depends on how one quantify easier but generally speaking cockatoo are less picky about tank temp and water conditions than rams.

the cockatoos are a lot easier to spawn.  I put in a pair and after a month got fry

Black rams are often way more aggressive to each other than normal German blue rams.

Apistos definitely easier. Black rams def definitely more exciting!

I've only had electric blue rams and found those to be pretty community freindly. Apistos are also friendly so long as they don't have other rival apistos.

Such a tough questions. As all the rest have said, Apistos are easier and friendlier (for the most part, there is always that one fish who is like, naw hold my beer I'm gonna fight them all!). But a really good pair of Black Rams can be so exciting, rewarding, and just straight up fun when you get it right.
