It was labelled "purple waffle" at the lfs, which isn't even an aquatic plant. I put them in the back of the tank since i think of swords as background plants, but if it is a shorter variety maybe i should move them forward? anewbie
Hard to tell. If it is a sword plant i suspect it is in the emersed form so it would take at least 2 months for the leaves to melt and new one to form.
JettsPapa
It could be an ozelot sword.
Odd Duck
Most definitely NOT purple waffle. 😆 I think you and others are on track. Looks like some sort of sword, but much too small for me to even give a good guess. I couldn’t argue against any of the current guesses. 1

Wouldn't be the first (or second, or third) time my lfs mislabelled a plant. Still, really hard to wrap my head around that mix-up. On 3/28/2022 at 7:50 AM, anewbie said: Hard to tell. You guys are right, you'd have to be a next-level plant expert to recognize a tiny, emersed grown sword. Hopefully i can come back in 6-12 months with a much more useful picture; although, at that point, i guess the name wouldn't matter.
