Suggestions for a 30 gallons aquarium stand

Greetings 

I want to buy a 30 gallons aquarium (36’’ x 12 ‘’ x 16’’)

I am looking for what to use as a stand (very secure one, as I live in a first floor apartment).

I do not have the ability to build one. And I do not wish to buy a 29 gallons high.

Any suggestions?

I looked around a bit, I know there are some shelves, so if you can share your model, experience, if it fits, if some diy is needed, etc.

Some people build very elegant cinder block stands. You can paint the block to your liking.

I agree with @Fish Folk the cinder block stands are easy cheap and don't look half bad. 

plus you can always keep building them out and you'll have a fish rack before you know it.

yup, cinder blocks and 2x4's especially for only 1 tank are very sturdy. no need for building. set blocks on floor, place wood over top of blocks. many places will cut 2x4's to length for you, so can be done with no tools.

My problem with that solution is how heavy the stand + the aquarium will end up. I live in a 1rst floor apartment and yes the aquarium is by the wall (the wall the separate the inside/outside) but will the floor support that much? Cinder blocks are not light.

Yes, you'll be fine, even with a very heavy stand you might have a total weight of only 370lbs spread out over three square feet. 

Tank: 35-40lbs

25 gallons of water:  ~200lbs

Substrate: 40lbs

Decorations: 40lbs

Stand: 50lbs

For a stand you could use a standard 40 gallon breeder stand. It’ll support 36” long tanks under 40 gallons. If it’s a rimless tank then you’ll have to add a piece of wood to the top of the stand, but a rimmed tank should be fine.

I absolutely love that stand… so of course it’s not available in Quebec 😓😩
