What kind of Anubias is this?

Recommended Posts

I love this plant! I’m getting such amazing growth, I haven’t been timing it but I’d say a new leaf every week- 10 days. I need to keep better track of my plant names.( I say for the 10th time) F85C7380-DDDE-4C68-839A-E51B75B52F10.jpeg.d3fca751534d72979485f316ed48431c.jpeg

@FrozenFins Anubias are amazing plants and with so many verities with different looks and texture. 😀thank you

@Odd Duck thank you, I have gotten lucky with this plant it sits about 3/4 high and almost center of my 125G the light and flow must be just perfect.

It looks very happy!  I missed your question at the end about other large Anubias species.  If you want more large Anubias look at A. hastifolia.  It has a different shape leaf with very long stems so it gives you a very different texture and cool effect and is my favorite large, Anubias.  For a different shade of green, look for any Gold Coin variety.  You can find them in various sizes - barteri, ‘Nana’ and ‘Nana Petite’, with barteri being the largest.  There is also A. gigantea but I don’t see it for sale very often.  A. heterophylla is supposed to get big, but I’ve only found it as baby plants so far and mine is growing but taking forever.  A. gabon, glabra, and lanceolata are all supposed to get fairly big, too.  If you find some A. giganta let me know.  I want some!

There are 10's if not 100's. @Odd Duckmention a few nice ones - glabra, gold coin, there is also pinto nana, afzelii anubia (nice shaped leaves), golden nana, ....

I've not had luck with lanceolata as it seems to not like my water but afzelii is interesting shaped leaves and not too large.
