SaLtee0ct0pus
Hey Everyone. I got my new plants in (if you saw my first post it all came in amazing!) which consists of various Anubias and Java Ferns. I am noticing like settlement/detritus on the leaves. I am new to plants so I just want to make sure this won’t kill the plant leaves? It’s a nano so I can’t really bump up the flow or my Badis will be shot to the neighbors house. I have ramshorns snails which I’m sure will help and have been using a pipette every day to blow stuff off the leaves but that can’t be a long term solution lol. Streetwise
This happens to me sometimes when I squeeze out mulm. Many snail species will help, but I often stir the water over leaves to brush it off.
Patrick_G
I sometimes take a chopstick and bump the leaves to knock the detritus off.
Brandon p
My snails do a pretty fair job in stopping that, but in increased water flow will also help if the tank can handle it.
Guppysnail
I’ve never kept badis so I’m not certain if they play well with shrimp. My neocaridina shrimp make short work of the settled debris. They are also a ton of fun and work fabulously in a nano.
