Fishguy215
Hi All, came down to angel fish eggs when I was about to do a water change. Do I still water change? Edited October 11, 2020 by Fishguy215
RovingGinger
If they are the only fish in the tank, you could probably do a careful water change stopping above the eggs. I wouldn’t dehydrate them. if they are not the only fish in the tank, there’s a good chance the eggs get eaten quickly unless removed and you’re in for a decent amount of work (but rewarding and doable! Just harder than guppies) to raise them. They may get eaten by the parents regardless, most seem to have mixed results at best with first batches. Good luck! Baby angels are adorable. I have not yet raised them myself but hope to. There are lots of good videos out on YouTube about their stages and different breeder practices, as well as many experienced breeders here.
Fishguy215
Thanks RovingGinger. I’m going to try to let the parents raise them. I know I’m taking a chance just don’t have space to raise 100s of angels. Will do my best to keep as many as I can if they make it to free swimming. I have an empty 10 gallon to switch them to at that point then to a 29.
Ken Burke
Good luck. My angles keep trying, but I have not had any success past the free swimming fry. But I’m not really set up for them.
