MrFish
Recently found my Mexican dwarf crayfish in his filter. I quickly took him out and put him back in the aquarium. he seemed to have no injuries and is eating fine, but is being a bit shy. I assume he's doing okay and I don't need to give him any medication? Sorry for the poor image, shot it on chromebook
Guppysnail
Welcome to the forum. Crayfish are very cool critters and very tough when their shell is hard and only extremely vulnerable when they molt. If he has no visible injuries and is eating he is most likely fine. I would be a bit shy if I got sucked into a tornado. 😁 (that was meant to make you smile I was not being sarcastic). It probably scared him as much as it did you. Again welcome to the forum. Ps meds and crustaceans normally don’t mix well. Research heavily to be sure any med ever used is invertebrate safe
MrFish
Thank you! Glad to join. I assumed so, we was missing for a few days but I just assumed he was molting haha. He's getting more active so that's well. Also thanks for the tidbit about meds. I'll keep that in mind!
Levi_Aquatics
I’d think he’ll be fine. I’d just keep a close eye on him.
