Need help finding fish a safe home. Can I surrender them to the store?

A tree fell on my home today and shattered all of my fish tanks. By sheer luck a handful of fish fell into the water change bucket behind the tank, but I obviously don't have the cycled tanks to safely house my survivors. 

I have a handful of shrimp, a single false Julii Cory, what appears to be 2 pygmy cories, and a single ember tetra. Would your store be able to take them in?

I am SO very sorry Lexi. How terrible. I think it wouldn't hurt to call them and see. Sometimes placing a craigslist or if you have it facebook ad might work too per others on the site. What state are you in?

I'm in Washington. Most of my fish are actually from the coop. I was able to salvage the bio balls from my 20 gal along with the sponge filter, so I am hoping that maybe I can force a cycle on one of my tanks in storage for the Betta at least.

I wouldn't think it'd be against the rules here if someone offered to help who was local. It's a rescue from a disaster not a trade or sale but I get it if it is. I'd ask any of the LFS around you to see if they can help or maybe they know someone who can take them for you!

@Lexi BIf you’d want someone to keep your fish until you’re ready to home them again, I’m happy to help. So sorry to hear this though. Can’t imagine how hard that is, and I’m sure the tanks are down the list of priorities at the moment.
