3/8 to 1/2 back to 3/8 canister hose

Will introducing a 1/2 inch online diffuser to my 3/8 inch hose on my canister filter with short pieces of half inch and 3/8 to 1/2 couplers kill the flow of my oase filtosmart 60?

I wouldnt think that it would hurt the flow too much since you are only jumping up an 1/8"

it shouldnt kill flow, but likely will reduce it a small percent. the 3/8-1/2 adapters will have to be of diameter to fit inside the 3/8 line, so they will be smaller and will ultimately be the diameter that is the restrictive point in the system.

The internal design of the CO2 diffuser may reduce the flow as well.

There isn’t any noticeable decrease in flow rate after I installed the diffuser
