Kriskm
I have a 40 breeder planted tank with a pair of small koi angelfish, 5 albino cories, 2 panda garra, and 14 cardinal tetras. I'd like to add a small school of silvertip tetras (10ish), because yes, they're cool. But I've also read they can be intimidating to cardinal tetras. I'm wondering if a planted 40 breeder is big enough for everyone to get along. Anyone have experience keeping these two together? MickS77
I've kept many species of Tetras together with Cardinals. While I haven't had Silvertips I doubt there would be a problem. I'd be more concerned about the Angels harassing everybody in the future.
Kriskm
Yea, @MickS77, I'm watching things closely. The pair of angels didn't like other angels, but so far they mostly ignore everyone else. Dropped by the store today, and Caitlyn steered my toward the lemon tetras. Kids called them demon ghost fish because of their stressed out/faded color and red eyes. Paul
I’ve got Silvertips. Nice fish. The males are a real deep orange/red but they’re neurotic, flying all over the tank nonstop. Your tank will never be short on action with Silvertips in it. Edited October 3, 2020 by Paul
