Expectorating_Aubergine
Anybody growing houseplants out the top of their aquariums? I had some bananas but they got too big and I had to take them out. I currently have lots of Epipremnum pinnatum albo, monstera peru, and Epipremnum pinnatum cebu blue. I have to add dry ferts to the tank since they pull so much out of the water..
Just Renee
I added a small pothos and a small spider plant cutting to my little 6 gallon because I'm struggling getting the nitrates under control. It never gets to be a high number, it just never fully goes away and I have a ton of... staghorn algae? I think? Anywho, I'm playing around with trying these two plants to see if they will pull more nutrients out of the water and surprisingly I still have nitrates. I thought these things were nitrate vacuums, dang it! Maybe they need more light or something. I love your plants!
Expectorating_Aubergine
Yeah, mine get tons of light that might be part of it. I've never tried spider plants. Interesting.... Edited July 8, 2021 by Expectorating_Aubergine

Streetwise
I grew out a bunch of rubber plants, and gave all of them away a few days ago. I hope to do this every year!
