ChemBob
My pond was clear before adding my lilies. I have them capped with pool filter sand in solid buckets. I'm assuming this is from the sand or dirt and will settle out eventually. Any other causes I should look into? Patrick_G
probably just some particulate from the pots, no worries. As the year progresses you’ll find that there’s a natural turn over process in outdoor ponds that can cloud the water. It has something to do with temperature and thermocline, but doesn’t last long. Some filter floss will help things along, but things should clear up with time. (I am no expert here! I’m just applying some knowledge from being a pond owner and a freshwater fly fisherman.)
