That's what I was wondering. I've seen some people claiming they are great for nano tanks. I kinda wanted another schooling type fish for my 10 gallon tank since my chilis do not take up too much space at all. I don't know if they need a longer tank though.

Anyone have aby experience with Hummingbird Tetras? I'm not finding much online. I have a 10 gallon tank with 9 chili rasboras and red cherry shrimp. Would 8 be alright in a 10 gallon? I'm seeing very little online about tank size and compatibility.

I've used cuttlebone. Worked great for my snails.

Hi all, Looking to grow some more plants out of my large tank. I have pothos, and I've heard about lucky bamboo and monstera, but are there any other unique plants that can be grown out of the aquarium?

Does anyone have suggestions for an organizers for aquarium tool, equipment, food, etc? I have a cabinet under my 60 gallon tank, and now a rack, but everything ends up messy. Just looking for some ideas.

What does your set up look like? I don't think I've seen Monstera in an Aquarium.

The fry are still there, but so far things are peaceful for the moment. I already put an ad on r/aquaswap for onw of them. I've bred rainbows, and after that I decided breeding and selling was not for me. Plus I'd like some peace in the community tank.

So I've had these Electric Blue Acaras for a few months and then this happened today 👀. Its in a 60 gallon Rainbowfish Tank. I thought both were males. They have dug holes in the past, and to be honest have sparred with each other at times, so I assumed they were just going through the motions of finding a female. But there are fry in that hole. My question is what happens now? Are they going to rip the entire tank apart? My rainbows are giving them a wide berth, but when the fry start swimming and inevitably get eaten, are the EBAs going to fight the Rainbows to the death? Also I have no room to raise fry right now. This sounds awful, but should I siphon them up to prevent violence? 🤦‍♀️ *Edit* I will most likely give one away as I don't want this to happen again.

Hi everyone, My two eheim heaters were at the end of their life span, so I bought an Aquarium Co-Op 100 watt heater for ny 60 gallon tank. It's doing great, but I frequently see the light on to heat up the tank. I've always heard to have two heaters in the tank to help keep the temp stable and to help each heater from burning out due to workload. Should I buy another one for the same tank?

Hi everyone, I'm not sure what I'm looking for exists, but trying to see if it does. I'm interested in getting an aquarium rack to hold some small tanks. However, most of the ones I see online are 72 inches or higher. For a variety of reasons, mostly due to space and mobility, are there any that are smaller but still are durable and can handle a lot of weight? Honestly something that could hold maybe 1 20 gallon and a few 5 or 10 gallons? I do not have these tanks yet, but trying to plan out growth for the future. Thanks for any input or suggestions!

Hi everyone, thanks for allowing me in the group. I've already learned so much, but need some help. I live in Northern Virginia, USA for context. I am preparing a 40 gallon outdoor pond tub to be on my deck. I'd like to *try* to make this tub last all year into next winter. For that reason, I'm considering one of the following killifish to tub: Fundulus heteroclitus (Mummichog), Fundulus diaphanus (Banded killifish), or Fundulus chrysotus (Golden Topminnow). However, I'm getting mixed reports if it can be done. I plan to have 2 sponge filters going all year. I was going to out a heater in the winter, but I heard somewhere it could add $100-200 to the electric bill. Could any of these species survive a Northern Virginia Winter in an above ground tub with temps getting as low as the teens farenheit (-11 - -7 C) but mostly in the 20s and 30s farenheit? If not, does anyone have any suggestions on killifish or what I could do to make this work? Also I'm hoping to keep this a North American Natives Tub.
