  1. @KBOzzie59great! As long as they function the same, I won’t be buying the ziss airstones
  2. @KBOzzie59 @Levi_Aquatics thank you all for the information!
  3. Is their any difference between aquarium coop’s never clog air stone (before the production of ziss air stone) vs ziss adjustable air stone? I bought AC’s never clog air stone few years ago and I was wondering if it’s necessary for upgrading to Ziss airstone. Specifically, willing to upgrade if the ziss are quieter than AC’s never clog airstone. Thank you!
  4. Can I directly pour hatched brine shrimp directly into the tank or use a pippet to place it in the gravel? Have corydoras tank and was wondering if the brine shrimp would not land on the substrate. My tank is about 22 inches tall.’’ TIA!
  5. Thank you all for your input! I really appreciate it!!
  6. I didn’t know that! That’s so cool that their are different variations of water wisteria. would you know which kind aquarium coop sells on their website? Ideally, I rather purchase it from them. currently all of the white cloud minnows are outside for my mini project. Planning to bring them back inside later this year. Was planning on using them for the dither fish.
  7. @Tihshhomore for cover for the Pygmy corydoras. Hoping it would make them less skittish. Don’t have too much of a preference for nutrient or fry cover. I currently have guppy grass in my other tanks, wanted to avoid them due to their rapid growth. For some odd reason, I have great success planting water wisteria but they all die when they are floating..
  8. @anewbie@Scott P. do you know which one will grow slower? One of the reasons why I didn’t want duckweed or salivina is their rapid growth that would overtake the tank
  9. Currently thinking of pearl weed after watching lrb aquatics
  10. I have a 100 gallon tub w corydoras and BN pleco. Currently looking for plants that would cover the upper portion of the tank. Can’t have rooted plant due to pleco and want to avoid floating plants (duckweed and etc..). Have success with Java fern but all of Anubias have done poorly. Looking for suggestions to cover the top part of the tank.
  11. @Tankseeker unfortunately the picture doesn’t show clarity to show the difference between the different corydoras. Yup, some of the Pygmy also displaying it as well.
  12. Is it safe for other healthy fish as well? Also I’m not sure if the corydoras are pooping white, would this treatment work if they are have normal poop color?
  13. Really? Is it parasite or fungal infection? Also, I have attached some pictures. It’s probably not too clear for it to be noticeable. But it seems like the top sterbai seems normal to me. I expect it to be pale because of the sand substrate. But the bottom substrate seems more pale. I had corydoras in the past which became more pale everyday until it passed away.
  14. True, but that’s why I was worried if they were sick. If not, I’m hoping they would get better over time.
  15. Sigh, something I have learned from this experience
  16. Ahh gotcha.. it looks really nice. The sad thing is, my sterbai were friendly in 40B. But once I put them with Pygmy, they followed Pygmy skittish behaviors. I missed the days when the sterbai were not afraid of me. also, I hope it’s not too off tangent, but we’re you able to get skittish corydoras to become friendly?. It seems the sterbai and the Pygmy continue to be afraid of me in their 110 gallon tub. It’s sad because I thought they would be friendlier in a bigger tank.
  17. Yup that’s the plan, but the Pygmy corydoras are in a 110 gallon tub. Once I put my head above the tub, they immediately run away. btw, is that a sterbai? It looks like one but has an orange tint
  18. I’ll try again tomorrow, but it may be a challenge because they are very skittish 😞. I’m hoping I can get a good shot while they are feeding..
  19. Darn, the picture quality is also poor because I have an old camera. Here are the results: ammonia= 0, nitrite= 0, nitrate=40 because the nitrate was higher than expected, I’m planning to do a big water change.
  20. Hey guys, Few of my Pygmy corydoras looks pale and has orange/brown spots. Is this normal? Some of my sterbai corydoras (not shown in this video) are also displaying paleness. Thanks!
  21. I’m planning of using anubias barteri with the easy planter in my flowerhorn tank. Following the direction from Cory’s video, I will be planting the anubias with the pot. But I was wary if the rhizome would not properly grow because it is stuck with the pot and the wool. Would it be possible for the anubias barteri grow to a big plant or would the growth be inhibited because the rhizome is stuck within the pot? Or do I need to remove the anubias from the pot and the wool in order to facilitate the growth of the rhizome? Thanks for your help!
  22. Gotcha. The rattling has been getting worse this past year. I’ve cleaned and replaced the impeller with no improvement. Was wondering if I should replace the filter with a different one.
  23. For those who have eheim 2217, is 40db too loud or is it normal? Also are FX 6 quieter than this? I have a 75 gallon tank in my room and looking for the quietest filter.
