what filter was on that tank?
I saw some of your fish in previous posts, absolutely amazing stuff you have going on. Looking forward to seeing more, even if it's not the best photo 🙂
It's been awhile now but I think it was just a sponge filter and air stone.

I just really enjoy having aquariums. I'd like to eventually start making money on some things but mainly I'd like to know my fish are living their best life.
If I had money some day I would like to open a fish store and run it the right way. There is a serious lack of freshwater fish stores where I am at besides the big box ones. I think one done well would do well.

Sounds nice, I'd include live plants and a wood piece of some sort.

I am going to highlight my 75g in this post. I even recorded a YouTube video of it. I copied an idea from a video that Dean talked about stacking 2 large sponge filters and running a powerhead filtering thru them. The fish love the flow and I like the extra filtration. I didn't like taking the air stone out however so I went and bought a big ugly one and it does the job but I don't love it. The pictures are odd angels cuz I haven't tried that before. I also included a gif.

I always use nerite snails to remove biofilm on wood and stuff in the aquarium. Nerite snails will be fine with what you have mentioned above.

Ya I've hit that point where I am learning on my own instead of taking everyone else's advice on the internet. Really experimenting with different things and learning as I go.

Hello All! Been a while. I've been avoiding social media for sometime and haven't been on the forum or YouTube recently.
I've still been enjoying the hobby and taking care of my fish and plants. I've managed to hatch a batch of albino corydora babies. My dalmatian mollies dropped a nice batch of babies. Going to drop a few pictures below.

I finally got a chance to record an unboxing video for the care package. Managed to avoid spoilers. Super nervous on camera that's why I may seem emotionless and robotic lol. Thank You to everyone on the COOP team. Keep doing what yall do.

Got some more pictures and updates. Got an electric blue acarra for my 75g. Think I might get 5 more.
Setup the 3 shrimp breeding aquariums. Cherry reds, Sunkist orange, and green jades.
Going to pull some more Cory eggs tomorrow during water changes and try my hand again at hatching and raising fry.

Hey Forum Members. Please join me in congratulating this month's recipients of a forum care package!
@Beardedbillygoat1975 @Its Hutch @PineSong are the winners this month. I will putting some packages together soon to have sent to you. Feel free to share what you have received once the packages arrive.
Thank you all for making our forum a fun place to hang out and talk about fish and plants!
Holy Moly. I can't believe I am getting one. I saw an email popup from the COOP "order shipped" and was like what the heck? Luckily I didn't look but remembered I got a ping earlier today on the forum and on the off chance I checked here first. I am so excited. Thanks @Zenzo and @Cory and the rest of the team. I'll see if I can't record an unboxing. Still need to post pictures of the COOP swag my wife got me for Christmas.

I've got black worms in 3 of my tanks and the fish definitely hunt for them. Sometimes I think they are all gone but after a couple of weeks their numbers come back and they are everywhere again. Corydoras, kuhlis, mollies all actively hunt for them.

@mike mackay Hey Mike. I don't think the intention was to make you feel stupid. Reading back I think it was just a misunderstanding. Regardless. I am here to help in any way I can. If you have more questions about the youtube membership just let me know. I can help you figure it all out. I can also help you figure out how to setup the automatic discount.
This forum is really just a spot to ask questions, or post about your experience. It's not necessarily tied to the youtube membership at all. Just also owned by the COOP. Please feel free to respond and I can help with whatever.
Sorry about your initial experience here in the forum.

My kuhlis never come out when the lights on unless I am doing a water change. Blood worms will also lure them out but thats about it.

Hey I took some time to edit your pictures and rotate them the right way, hope you dont mind.
No need to change the substrate just buy some root tabs and push them underneath all the way down to the glass. Looks to be probably a Crypt Wendtii or Lutea in my opinion. It also looks like the rhizome might be buried on that Java Fern. You will want to uncover that and leave the rhizome exposed.

I personally feed for the first 3 to 5 days to know for sure the fish has eaten and maybe will put on a tiny bit of weight, then do a water change, and then will fast while doing the med trio.
Ive lost fish that were too malnourished to survive the fast/meds so I find giving them a bit of food first helps.

Haven't updated in awhile. Been busy with work and the kids being back in school. Also been pretty sad after my betta passed away.
Lost the majority of the Cory fry but managed to keep 6 alive which is still progress. They are getting bigger everyday and actually look like Cory cats now. Also managed to breed assassin snails but that didnt take any intervention from me haha!
I have added 3 5.5g tanks into my collection now for the purpose of keeping shrimp tanks and hopefully getting large colonies established to eventually sell/trade. I have 7 tanks total now. My wife keeps letting me add tanks so I keep trying lol. She is super supportive.
Hope everyone is staying happy and healthy. Anyways here are some pics of the Cories and baby assassin snails that were out and about today.
