  1. How often do I need to swap out the crushed coral in my baggie that I have in my filter? Water always tests hard no matter how much coral I use! I have two Sunset Honey Gouramis and shrimp in a 8.5 gallon tank. Thanks!
  2. How would you both treat with Maracyn? We were told to treat a bit different from the package but Robert must be off today and don't know what to do. Here was our message to Robert, You helped us the other day getting medicine - Maracyn - for our Sunset Honey Gourami. Wanted to be sure we are medicating correctly because what I think what I heard you say might be different from the instructions on the back of the package. We are going by your direction of every 2 days do a small water change and then add more of the Maracyn. And do this for a week. Is that correct? Or should we follow the directions on the box which say to add it everyday for 7 days and there is no need to do a water change unless testing the water shows things getting out of the normal ranges. Thanks, BTW One of the bumps looks smaller after two days!
  3. We have had her for about 6 months. Nothing new added. The pair of them love micro pellets 4 times a week and live blood worms once a week. Temp is about 73 and is a 8.5 aquarium set we got at Aquarium coop which is established, had around 5 years.Use testing strips from the shop so do not now actual PH. Everything on the strip is a ok, but water hardness is a little harder than usual. Will do a large water change and if that doesn't reduce, will remove a little crushed coral in filter bag.
  4. Water parameters are all fine, water a tad on the hard side. Healthy appetite, active and acting completely normal. Lily roots next to her, snails keep eating them.
  5. In our tank we have 2 Sunset Honey Gourami's, 2 Green Neon Tertra's, a shrimp and a snail. Also in our 8.5 gallon tank we have a few different plants and a piece of driftwood. We also change the water in the tank (~30% change) each week. Our tank water test is showing that the water is slightly hard, wondering if catappa leaves would help with the hardness and be gentle on our fish. Thanks!
  6. Do you currently have female sunset honey gouramni’s in the store? We are planning on coming to the shop tomorrow. Wasn’t sure if these listed above are in quarantine .Thanks!
  7. Would a female sunset honey gourami come locally? We are trying to think of the best time to get one without multiple trips due to COVID. Thank you Robert!
  8. Hello Robert. When these new fish are posted are they just unboxed and in quarantine or are they in the store ready for purchase? Thanks!
