I have a tank with 6 Danios, a couple of Swordtails, 3 Corydoras, a Pleco, and an Angelfish. I've transferred them to a larger tank and now feel that somethings missing. I love Honey Gouramis and feel that it would make a great addition to my aquarium. Questions: 1) Does anyone know if a Honey Gourami is incompatible with any of my other fish? 2) My understanding is that Honey Gourami like plants to hide in. Anyone know which plants are best suited for them?

Sleepy - I hear you. However, there are some illnesses, like intestinal bacteria, that are not easily noticed. My fish have never been quarantined since I got them six months ago. I hear that some illnesses kill slowly over a period of many months. I'm just worried that there could be an illness present that can't be detected.

A plastic container is probably the easiest and cheapest way to go. Once your finished using it you can easily store it away without worrying about it breaking. Also, it can be used for multiple purposes. I'm presently using both my quarantine tanks for several types of fry that were born in the last three months.

That's weird that we would ask the same questions just minutes apart. 😀

Want to know if it worthwhile to add medication (the Tri-meds) from time to time just in case any fish are sick and it's unnoticed? Let's say once every six months or so.
