  1. Definitely easier to get fish in Florida than in Nevada but I had ordered those Fronts from a site called Exotic Aquatics but I don't think they survived the pandemic because I can't find them anymore. I have only seen Burundis and Black Widows here locally
  2. I don't have a sound bar and with the canopy they don't get any weird strobing effects from the TV. Haven't ever seen them get spooked yet. 🤞 Journal? Baby steps 😂
  3. Shipping will always be the biggest obstacle for any of the large plastic containers. All we can do is hope our big box hardware stores expand their pond sections beyond those weird-shaped ones.
  4. This was my main display tank when I lived in Florida. I went through a few scapes with them over the years I had them but unfortunately had to rehome them and sell the entire setup before moving to Las Vegas. (military move) I miss the setup so much and with fish prices now it would cost a fortune to redo it. This is the custom sump I made for it out of a 40 breeder that used pothos and crushed coral.
  5. Tank and canopy were purchased but I built the base it sits on out of 4x4s. Then trimmed it up and painted everything to match the existing cabinets
  6. I got mine from a local Las Vegas auction site but they are all over Temu.
  7. Today I experimented with those plastic plant hangers that you can get so cheap. I think I paid $4 for 8 of them. I want to be able to play around with various marginal plants as well as protect the part of the liner that is exposed above water from the sun.
  8. My wife keeps telling me to document my projects because I always get a lot of questions afterwards but it is hard to think about in the middle of everything. The pond is stocked with Koi that I rescued from two separate backyard ponds. One was neglected and the other the owner had passed and they were selling the house and the new owner didn't want them. Filtration is a 55-gallon bog barrel that was originally going to have two returns but settled on one. I have a Marineland canister filter with just sponges that pumps the water through a UV sterilizer and then back as well. I am more than willing to help anyone who is thinking of building a pond this way so just hit me up if you like.
  9. New to the forums. Here is my 12x6 pond I recently built
